David Wirrpanda: From AFL Champion to Community Leader
David Wirrpanda is celebrated not only for his 13-year AFL career but also for his unwavering dedication to advancing the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
After retiring from football, David established the Wirrpanda Foundation (now the Waalitj Foundation), which focuses on improving the quality of life for Indigenous communities.
Recognising the need to bridge the gap between education, training, and employment for Indigenous youth, David founded Wirrpanda Supplies to create direct pathways from training programs to meaningful career opportunities.
