Safety, Risk and Compliance

Our Commitment to Safety, Risk and Compliance

Central Cleaning Supplies | Strategic Vision 2027–2030 and Beyond

At Central Cleaning Supplies, safety, risk and compliance are more than regulatory obligations. They are fundamental business principles that underpin our corporate governance, operational performance, organisational culture and long-term sustainability. Our commitment is founded on the belief that responsible business management begins with protecting our people, safeguarding our operations and maintaining the integrity of the systems and processes that support our organisation.

As an organisation operating under an Integrated Management System (IMS), supported by certifications to ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety, ISO 9001 – Quality Management and ISO 14001 – Environmental Management, we recognise that these three internationally recognised standards provide the foundation for our approach to organisational governance, operational consistency, risk management and continuous improvement.

Our commitment extends beyond maintaining certification. It is about establishing a business-wide culture of accountability, consistency, consultation and responsible leadership, ensuring that safety, risk and compliance are embedded in every operational activity, management process and strategic business decision.

Safety, risk and compliance encompass our entire business. They are about protecting our people, managing organisational exposure, safeguarding our infrastructure and assets, maintaining business continuity and ensuring that our governance frameworks remain effective, sustainable and aligned with our legal, regulatory and contractual responsibilities.

Our People, Our Responsibility

We recognise that our greatest responsibility is to our people. Every employee, contractor and business partner contributes to maintaining a safe, responsible and compliant working environment.

Through visible leadership, meaningful workforce consultation, education, training and accountability, we are committed to establishing a culture where safety is embedded in everyday behaviours, hazards are identified before they result in harm, and risk management is recognised as a proactive business discipline rather than simply a response to incidents.

Our objective is to empower our people to identify risks, raise concerns, participate in improvement initiatives and contribute to a workplace where safety is a shared responsibility supported by management at every level.

Protecting Our Business and Infrastructure

Equally important is our responsibility to protect the business and maintain its operational resilience.

This includes the systematic identification, assessment, treatment and monitoring of operational, financial, environmental, infrastructure, reputational, technological and regulatory risks.

Through structured governance frameworks, documented procedures, defined accountabilities, measurable performance indicators and effective assurance processes, we aim to strengthen our capacity to anticipate emerging risks, respond to operational challenges and maintain continuity across our national operations.

We recognise that effective risk management is essential not only to protecting our organisation but also to maintaining the confidence of our employees, customers, suppliers, business partners and wider stakeholder network.

An Integrated Approach to Governance and Compliance

Our Integrated Management System provides the framework through which we establish and maintain consistency across our Safety, Risk, Quality, Environmental, ESG and Sustainability Policies.

These policies are not intended to operate independently. They represent interconnected components of a cohesive corporate governance platform designed to strengthen organisational performance, establish clear accountability and support informed decision-making throughout the business.

Through ongoing monitoring, internal auditing, management review, corrective actions and continuous improvement, we are committed to maintaining management systems that support compliance with applicable Australian legislation, regulatory requirements, relevant standards and contractual obligations.

We recognise that ISO certification supports our management framework but does not replace our responsibility to independently identify, understand and fulfil applicable legal obligations.

ESG, Sustainability and Responsible Business Management

As Central Cleaning Supplies continues to develop its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability programs, we recognise that responsible business management must consider both our immediate operational obligations and the long-term environmental, social and economic impacts of our activities.

Our approach is to progressively integrate ESG principles, sustainability objectives and measurable governance practices into our existing management frameworks, procurement processes, supply chain relationships and operational decision-making.

Through this integration, we seek to strengthen environmental stewardship, responsible sourcing, ethical business conduct, transparency, stakeholder confidence and sustainable business growth.

We believe that sustainability is not a separate corporate initiative but an essential component of effective risk management, operational efficiency and long-term organisational resilience.

Our Strategic Vision: 2027–2030 and Beyond

Our strategic direction for 2027–2030 and beyond is to position Central Cleaning Supplies as a dynamic, proactive and fully integrated organisation where safety, risk and compliance are recognised as fundamental drivers of business excellence.

Our focus will be on strengthening preventative risk management, improving organisational responsiveness, enhancing regulatory assurance and delivering leadership-driven safety and compliance initiatives that create measurable improvements across our operations.

This strategic direction will be supported by:

Visible leadership and accountability: Strengthening executive and management ownership of safety, risk and compliance performance throughout the organisation.

Proactive risk identification and prevention: Improving our ability to identify emerging hazards, assess business exposure and implement effective preventative controls.

Workforce engagement and safety leadership: Delivering meaningful safety campaigns, consultation programs, training initiatives and behavioural improvement activities.

Integrated governance and regulatory assurance: Maintaining effective management systems, compliance monitoring, internal auditing and documented accountability.

Infrastructure and operational resilience: Protecting business assets, systems, facilities and operational continuity through structured risk management.

ESG and sustainability integration: Embedding responsible environmental, social and governance practices into business operations and long-term strategic planning.

Measurable performance and continuous improvement: Establishing performance objectives, monitoring outcomes and implementing improvement initiatives that demonstrate organisational progress.

Our intention is to move beyond reactive compliance management towards a more predictive, preventative and leadership-driven approach that strengthens our organisational capability and supports sustainable business growth.

Our Commitment to the Future

As we progress towards 2030 and beyond, our focus remains on building a business that is resilient, adaptable, environmentally responsible and operationally disciplined, supported by strong governance, consistent processes and a shared commitment to excellence.

We recognise that safety, risk and compliance are not the responsibility of one department or individual. They represent a collective responsibility embedded throughout Central Cleaning Supplies, from executive leadership through to frontline operations and our broader supply chain partnerships.

For Central Cleaning Supplies, achieving compliance is an essential requirement. However, establishing a sustainable culture of safety, accountability, responsible leadership and continuous improvement is our broader organisational commitment.

Our commitment is clear: To protect our people, safeguard our business, manage our risks, meet our obligations and build a sustainable future through leadership, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

Safety is our foundation. Risk management is our discipline. Compliance is our responsibility. Sustainability is our future.

THINK SAFE. WORK SAFE. HOME SAFE.
